The Craft Bar will host a fundraising event the evening of Tuesday, March 31, 2015, beginning at 5:00pm to benefit Warrior Beach Retreat, a local 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that brings wounded veterans and their spouses or caregivers to Panama City Beach for a week of rest and relaxation. One hundred percent of all restaurant revenue received during the event will be donated to Warrior Beach Retreat. Patrons will have an opportunity win door prizes, bid in a silent auction, and make additional donations to the organization.
The event was planned to honor the memory of Chris Kyle, former Navy Seal & author of, American Sniper. Inspired by Kyle, Chan Cox, The Craft Bar owner and local restaurateur, looked for a way to contribute to Kyle’s legacy. “I was moved,” says Cox. “I wanted to give something back to the men and women that experience life-changing circumstances while defending our freedom.”
“We feel honored to have been chosen as the beneficiary of this event and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect” says Linda Cope, Founder and President of Warrior Beach Retreat. Next month, the organization will host approximately 60 combat wounded warriors from across the United States for the annual retreat in Panama City Beach.
